ARTEFACT SING - A Patterned Ritual for Women’s Voices
Friday, April 24 · 6:00–9:00 PM
The Ice House · Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
A Patterned Ritual
Vision — We begin by gathering in conversation. Together we name a theme, speak its meaning aloud, test its edges with affirmation and challenge, and design our experiment: a living ritual that moves between spaces — the riverside, canal trails, and under the overpass — wherever our footsteps find continuity.
Work — We learn the song and the gestures of our ritual, practice movement and mindfulness, and prepare a shared feast. Tables are set with care; hands meet in rhythm.
Feast — As twilight deepens, we share a potluck meal inspired by our theme. Bring something loosely or lovingly connected — or simply something that nourishes. The meal unfolds en blanc style — white attire, communal table, intention visible.
What We Cultivate
Social trust and intergenerational connection
Cultural curiosity and regional care — a mindful blessing of the place we inhabit
Grief and gratitude, carried softly
Ritual entrances and exits — gentle thresholds that hold our gathering
Blessings for one another to take home — a souvenir of spirit
Each Artefact Sing is guided by our Teaching Co-creators — artists, instructors, and rhythm-keepers helping us hold the circle.
